Edelweiss is a lovely country home on the banks of beautiful Smith Creek, yet only minutes from the fabulous shopping and dining of downtown Wimberley.

This spacious house is perfect for family and friend gatherings. Take a stroll through the 12 acres of creek-side nature (2 private, 10 shared with the owners), watch the deer graze as you enjoy your morning coffee, strum your guitar beside the fire pit, challenge your friends to a game of pool, watch your kiddos play in the tree house, have a family bbq on the gorgeous back deck, snuggle up by the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa, and feel the stress of your daily life melt away.

The name Edelweiss belongs to a delicate white flower that grows in the Alps, made famous in The Sound of Music. From the morning songs of the sweet, chirping birds to the evening orchestra courtesy of the frogs and toads along the creek, we like to say that the Hill Country is alive with the sound of music! Here you get the privacy and serenity of a country home with all the amenities of modern life. During the house remodel in 2010 the kitchen was built from scratch, and some of the furnishings were hand made by the owner, a professional woodworker.

The house has two and a half baths, three bedrooms (king, queen, and three twin beds), plus a large game room with two queen futons, games for the kids, and a pool table. Add that to the spacious living room with a fold-out couch, dining room with a table for 8, and the large deck with a beautiful hand-made picnic table, and you’ve got the perfect space for your family and friend retreat! At Edelweiss the owners are environmentally conscious. They offer full recycling, use environmentally friendly dish soap, provide recycled paper products, offer a reverse-osmosis filtration system to eliminate the need for bottled water, and landscape minimally to encourage native grasses and trees and provide habitat for the wildlife.

We are confident that Edelweiss will exceed your expectations. Just read some of the comments from the previous guests. The owners really go out of their way to add those special touches to make your trip complete, such as providing firewood for the fire pit, and keeping the kitchen stocked with condiments and basics that you may have forgotten. If their chickens have worked overtime, you may even find fresh, organic eggs in the fridge. You won’t want to leave Edelweiss, but you can always come back for another visit!

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLING, RESCHEDULING, CHANGING RESERVATIONS
Your booking deposit is non–refundable.
Additions, changes or cancellations must be in writing via email to reservations@texashillcountryreservations.com.
Any change to a reservation is considered a cancellation and may be subject to cancellation policies.
Any change to your reservation will incur a $25.00 change fee.
You are welcome to add guests, pets, and additional nights subject to property rules and capacity and payment of any additional charges.
Any reduction in the length of stay, number of guests or pets, within 30 days of arrival is non–refundable.
Failure to locate the property, appearance of the property, and access to the property, are not grounds for refund or cancellation.
Within 30 days of arrival the reservation is non refundable unless we can get the property re –booked.
If we can re –book the property for the dates originally reserved, All Wimberley Lodging will refund the amount of the reservation less the booking deposit.
Within 30 days of arrival you may not switch properties unless we can re–book the original property.
Within 30 days of arrival you may not change reservation dates or term of reservation unless we can re–book the original dates.
There are no refunds due to shortened stays or ruined expectations because of weather conditions.
Specialty packages are non–refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of arrival. Massages are non–refundable if cancelled within 7 days of arrival.
CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF ARRIVAL ARE 100% NON-REFUNDABLE.

MAKING A RESERVATION

You must be of legal age to make this reservation and agreement (25).
You are the sole point of contact for this reservation.
You agree that all information is true and accurate.
You agree to pay for all services, fees, and taxes.
You agree that you verified the accuracy of your arrival and departure dates.
You agree to the cancellation and liability policy.
Upon making a reservation you will be charged a $100.00 NON–REFUNDABLE BOOKING DEPOSIT that is applied to your balance.
Final payment is due within 30 days of arrival.
If your arrival date is within 30 days of the date you make your reservation, full payment is due at the time of booking.

REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSITS

Some Property Owners require a security deposit for their property. This deposit will be returned to your credit card approximately 10 days after departure less any charges created by Tenant or Tenant's Guests use of the property (additional guests, pets, damage, excessive cleaning, etc.).
